Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of ServiceBill, the calendar-driven invoicing service operated at servicebill.ai ("ServiceBill," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
ServiceBill helps service businesses turn scheduled jobs into invoices: crews mark jobs complete, draft invoices are generated using your item catalog (including items synced from QuickBooks Online), an administrator reviews and approves them, and customers receive an invoice with a payment link. ServiceBill integrates with third-party services including QuickBooks Online (Intuit) and Stripe; your use of those services is also governed by their own terms.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including crew users you invite. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business you register.
3. Your data and ours
You own the business data you put into ServiceBill (customers, jobs, invoices, notes, photos). You grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the service. We own the ServiceBill software, design, and branding. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Invoices, payments, and taxes
ServiceBill generates invoice drafts; you are responsible for reviewing and approving every invoice before it is sent, including amounts, line items, and applicable taxes. Payments from your customers are processed by Stripe and settle to your connected Stripe account; ServiceBill is not a party to the transaction between you and your customers, is not a bank, and does not hold funds. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your billing and for collecting and remitting any taxes you owe.
5. Subscriptions and fees
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly, via Stripe. You may cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ServiceBill to send fraudulent or unlawful invoices, to spam, to infringe others' rights, to attempt to breach or overload the service, or to resell the service without our written agreement.
7. Third-party services
QuickBooks Online connectivity is provided through Intuit's APIs and may change or be interrupted by Intuit. Stripe payment processing is subject to Stripe's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, though we'll do our best to keep integrations working smoothly.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we expressly disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. ServiceBill is software, not accounting, tax, or legal advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ServiceBill will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which we may delete it.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
